The Surrounding Area

The area offers a vast choice of things to do.
There are beautiful villages such as Nanteuil-en Vallée with it’s
pretty streets, or larger, busier places such as La Rochefaucauld or
Angoulême.
A variety of sports are available nearby. Golf, karting, horse riding,
ice-skating, canoeing along the Charente river, and there are a number of
watersports available at the man-made beaches of the Lac de Lavaud or
Angoulême.

The distilleries of Cognac are one hours drive away, there a number of
beautiful chateaux to see, and the coast is about an hour and a half away.
Futuroscope is an hour away, and the ‘Valley of the Monkeys’ is a must for
children and adults alike. The area offers restaurants and bars to suit every
taste.
